Eating Well in College
You’ve probably heard of the freshman 15 or other horror stories about college students putting on weight when heading off to school and being in control of their own diets. On the flip side, there is often the pressure to stay thin that can lead to obsession, unhappiness and even eating disorders. Both sides of the coin are situations to avoid as they will have adverse effects on your health, self-esteem, social life, and success in the classroom. If you feel things spinning out of control with your eating habits, feel free to reach out to help that exists in the form of on campus counseling, or simply talk to friends and family about what is going on, such that you do not feel isolated.
